As the largest and most colorful commercial orchids, lush cymbidiums
(sym-BID-ee-em) in bloom make a powerful impact indoors and often outdoors, especially in more temperate climates. Available from October through April, our gorgeous flowers grow between 2 and 3½ feet tall, with multiple spikes that vary in hues from light to dark, including white, saffron, chartreuse, apple green, chocolate, amber and burgundy.
Originating in the subtropical highlands of Southeast Asia, the range of this genus’s 52 species extends from Northern India to North Australia. Our hardy plants originate as tissue culture principally from breeders in Japan and Australia, take up to three years to mature and continue to flourish with our mix of bark, peat moss, and pumice in large containers.
